We all have 'em

I am currently standing in my kitchen ready to go out to eat with friends downtown Charleston. I took a moment to look at the calendar I received from Samaritan's Purse. For the month of May there's a picture of a man standing next to a wall in Lebanon that reads "When I am afraid; I will trust in You."

Now the people living in Lebanon have more to be afraid in their day-to-day lives than I do; that I know. But as I stood here looking at the picture and reading what it said, I thought, I too am afraid sometimes. In fact, there is something I'm afraid of right now.

The Lord does not say that we can only trust in Him when are afraid for our lives or if we are afraid of famine or great pain. He just says to trust Him.

Whether they are big fears or small fears we can trust in Him. (Sigh).
