Lunch with Morning

The day we arrived into Xi'An we met my friend, Morning, for lunch at a Hui restaurant that was famous for "Yang Rou Pao Mo". It means stewed lamb meat with bingzi (very dense bread). Basically they take two or three loaves of this very dense bread and break it up into very small pieces and put it in a deep bowl with rice noodles the size of angel hair, cilantro, vegetable broth, garlic and large chunks of very tender lamb. You have a choice between whether you want low, medium or high grade lamb. We got the high grade of course, which we would assume means less fat, but in China it means more fat. They love the fat! We had a great time with Morning as she showed us around town explaining all the sights and interesting food we saw.

My mom would like to say a hello to her favorite students who are reading this blog! Keep reading...
