What a great day! Morning's Dad (such a sweet man) invited us to spend the day visiting sites around Yinchuan. Little did we know or expect what he had planned! So- I'll start at the beginning- very few people outside major cities drive or own cars, so he rented a car, hired a driver and also a translator, which was so thoughtful and kind of him. We met at 8am and made the 60 min drive to the Gobi Desert. Mom was thrilled, seeing how she loves landforms and all that!!! As you can see, we climbed onto the camels, sat between the humps, and headed up and over the dunes.The trickiest part was when the camel stood up and then sat back down! The area is full of activities and Morning's Dad insisted we do many of them- so, more tomorrow!
