Our next 3 days in Beijing were hot, humid and gray- due to heavy fog and smog! but the sights were fabulous! First stop was Tienanmen Square- HUGE and a popular place where the Chinese stroll. It's common to see the military marching in small groups and standing at attention around the city. The people in blue were cleaning Tienanmen Square one block at a time by hand- can't imagine how long that will take them! The guy seen with Mom approached her asking to practice his English- Mom has a way of attracting the Chinese!!! So she invited him to walk and talk with us- he was soooooo appreciative and of course we loved it too!!
